Baseline test question papers 2018 for 2nd - 9th std Maharashtra pre-test Maths, Science, English exam paper pattern PDF
The Maharashtra Baseline Pre test for the academic year 2018-19 is going to be held soon. From 2017, Science subject was also included in the exam. So, the students of the state board schools for which this examination is mandatory can download Baseline test question papers 2018 of standard 2nd to 9th. This exam paper is set by the MSCERT (Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training). However, last year, the Baseline question paper for std 5th and 8th was provided by CISCE.

- For the first time from 2017, this Baseline pre test was available for class 9 students also.
- Science subject was included for std 2nd to 9th. Previously only English, Maths, Marathi was included.

Baseline exam paper pattern
The Baseline test consists of questions from Science, Maths and First language subjects (English, Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit). The syllabus for this pretest is based on the previous academic year.
Baseline exam dates 2018
Every year, the Maharashtra state conducts this MSB pre test at the start of the academic year. The question papers will reach the schools and will be distributed to the students on the examination day. This test will be in July/ August months.

This Baseline test 2018 is conducted as part of the Pragat Shaikshanik (progress in education). There are 3 tests - baseline test and the two summative assessment tests based on the CCE (continuous and comprehensive evaluation) scheme, for the Maharashtra students.
The Baseline line exam results will not affect the student's academic performance. This exam is held just to test the knowledge of a student on the previous year syllabus.
